| Anndaluz | Nov 4, 2007 9:51am | What is the 'Real World'? The more grief I get at work, the more time spent on hold trying to get my ISP fixed, the times when you are obliged to be around people whom you would cross a motorway to avoid, or doing routine tasks which end up taking ages longer than they should etc. Then the more driven I feel to stay up doing exactly what I want.
I've got pages of stuff from my doctor about what to eat, what to drink, establishing a routine, preferred bedroom decor, when to watch TV: The entire 'Sleep Hygeine' caboodle. It just seems another chore when you've had a bad day.
But what have mornings got to offer a person such as myself? The early morning light is beautiful and can be viewed late at night - I know you know what I mean. But if you've just had 3 hours sleep your appreciation is spoilt. Some people are just born with their circadian rhythm set out of sync. I am one of those people. |

The bullshit reality that our society has manufactured and deemed the way "normal" and "successful" people are supposed to behave and when they are supposed to do it. I feel the same way about staying up late. I feel cheated out of life by going to bed early. I do what I have to during the day to make a living, and at night I pursue my own interests. |
