Being night owls, we are often most alive and alert when the rest of the planet is shutting down for the night, or already closed.
Besides bars and night clubs, and the 'net, what do we have available to us as a social forum?
Has anyone found any creative alternatives?
I admit to sometimes being bored out of my skull - literally, my mind is interesting, but I don't want to be inside of it 24/7... |

Walk, especially when its very foggy or raining lightly and not SO cold (I hate summer though). I also hang out with some other noctambulists in my place or somewhere outside, provided that the place is safe. This might sound like a poser's cliché but I do love graveyards as well. I see hanging out at night as some sort of urban camping and I love it.
I have also been known to smoke some interesting herbs, climb to a roof in a full moon or clear night, and stay there laying on my back and looking at the sky for hours.
Good movies are also great, especially when I make an event out of it, invite someone, arrange the whole film paraphernalia (popcorn, comfy armchairs, pillows, etc...)

|  e1anator | Oct 24, 2006 6:55pm | Usually at about 2AM - 3AM - 4AM - Basically when it's soo late theres hardly any traffic, you can cycle around the empty streets of your area.
This is cool because:
1. You feel safer riding around on a bike than you do walking.
2. It's faster to get around and pretty enjoyable too.
3. It uses up energy, so after a good ride you may feel a bit tired.
4. It's exercise, which releases dopamine. You feel happy and good after a good bike ride.
5. Cycling around at night is fun! the streets are your oister. You can go wherever you want! (Plus it's easy to hear when a car IS coming, you just cycle out the way)
